KINESIS, through its Spanish subsidiary KE-RENINVESTMENT S.A., acquired the 50 MW Andella Wind Farm Project in Valladolid (the "Andella Project") from ABO Wind España and the parties signed cooperation agreements to further develop and construct the Project. Once operational, the Andella Project will generate electricity enough to meet the demand of 15,000 houses and will avoid the emission of 70,000 CO2 each year.
KINESIS has a strong track record in renewable energy investments in Italy and Turkey, and the Andella Project will be the company's first investment in Spain. KINESIS is eager to expand its presence in the country with more renewable and energy storage projects in the near future.
The Andella Project already has a grid connection, secured land, and preparatory studies are available. The Project will consist of 10 SG145 5.0 MW turbines. The applications for environmental and building permits have been submitted. ABO Wind will develop the project until it is ready for construction and will provide services to KINESIS also during construction.
